I have a new style Smartie, which has two cup holders in the front.
The cup holders are the exact size of a Costa coffee disposable cup.
I’m looking for something to fill the cup with that will set and become solid, then when I remove the cup I have got an exact sized ‘bung’ to put in the cup holder.

Why? I hear you ask.
Cuz the Smartie has no flat edges to stick a phone holder disc to, and in my wisdom I thought I could fashion something to put in the cup holder, put a disc on top and hey presto, fame and fortune.

Smartie has got a built in satnav by Tom Tom but I find google maps or, more so, Waze much better as they are far more up to date.
After the first ‘free’ update TT costs a fair bit for a map update, The others are free.

Any cleverness greatly appreciated.

Geoff

TCG,
Thanks for the tip.
Unfortunately, my particular smartie is not covered.
The satnav screen intrudes out too far for the brodit to fit.

Kids modelling clay.

Put cling film in first so you can pop it out and then put in the oven to set.

Or a fast set floor levelling compound would probably work even better/easier

I always found it difficult to get my beer cans to fit in the cup holder properly.

I have made up a number of bits and pieces using this stuff, sets to a solid hard rubber, I've used it to make decent foot pads for a set of steps and to replace the feet on a set of ladders, as long as you've got something to cast it in that's the right size then it's a simple case of mixing 2 2 parts together, adding any pigment you want and then pouring it into your mould.
https://www.mbfg.co.uk/pt-flex-70-rubber.html
I have about 1.5kg left over from my last batch (plus a bit of black pigment) which will probably be due to expire in the next couple of months. I don't expect to need it this year so I am more than happy to pass it on if you're interested. If so drop me a message with your address and I'll drop it in the post for you.

Thank you peeps.
Good ideas, any thing a little softer maybe. On the consistency of rubber for example?

If you need to go down the make it yourself route then you can get this type of polyurethane rubber in various hardness's from shore 20 through to shore 85. Shore 70 is a hard tyre consistency.

A couple of TinaL's homemade cupcakes should do the job, but then again you might need a drink to help wash em down :rofl:
