inspired by a few members posts of their work and recently by @Rolly latest edition i though i'd put up a few of my efforts for " critique"! :cautious:

here are a few that i was encouraged to put in an exhibition here in South Wales.

much to my amazement a number of them sold..... I was pleased of course nut mostly " Gob smacked" that people were willing to pay hard cash for my paintings;;;;

hope you like them.

PS; excuse the poor photography :(

You are really talented Phil(y)

My wife is too, but let’s just say I’m not ( at anything)

I am sure there is something you are specially talented at @Chris (y) your just too modest to admit it...

I'm almost afraid to ask, but ... your wife paints?

Wow ... There wasn't one there that I wouldn't love to hang on my walls. Absolutely beautiful.

Bet the dog cuddler looking at the sky one went first ..

Gosh. Wow.. golly gee.

you are very kind @movan Joy. Nope that one has not been up for sale yet.

i am told my Watercolour painting is " NOT NORMAL"! style...

I have been having a go for about 2 1/2 years now so relatively new to it and very much still learning... for every painting that i am happy to share there are 2 or 3 that "I am not"!

Beautiful paintings and coming from a mining background I love the miner with his water bottle.

John.

thank you,
He is one Emrys Jones a coal miner and part time singer in the Welsh national opera circa 1950.

Lovely pictures wish I had an ounce of your talent.thanks for sharing.
Keep posting Phil when you can.

The issue i am having now is that i have tooo many in folders in my "Man cave"! as i only get to exhibit a small number in every August.

i paint what takes my fancy and thats wide and varied.... which inevitably means that some of my stuff is a bit " Marmite eee"

Why are earth are you surprised the paintings sold?
They really are good. I’m certainly no art critic, but wouldn’t not have on my wall.
Really well done

to be honest i am very surprised at all the positive comments here. none the less very very pleased i posted the first few to test the water.

i guess its because i am not often satisfied with the results and look for the faults and flaws.

i dont find it easy but challenging and really satisfying..

the comments here have certainly given me more confidence

Nope, I have no talent at anything.

My wife though paints water colours and is absolutely amazing with chalk or oil on slate.

Actually I have just realised I am an artist, just a different sort of artist.

I was in the pub tonight and there was a really drunk young bloke in there. He began throwing objects around the bar, but not really in my vicinity but more in the direction of 2 blokes sitting about 15 feet away.

Anyway the people who he was with began apologising for his behaviour and encouraged him to apologise.

“ Sorry baldy “ he said.

I thought nothing of it until he had left and looked round to see the people who I thought were his targets were young and had a full head of hair.

 Typical English

PS; and done with as much love and care.(y) @tofo

OMG those are not to my taste but I still find them fantastic. Look at the folds of the material .. the eyes. Are you having us on? Are they really paintings by some long-qualified famous artist? I love them.

Grandaughters were upset at nanny managing to break both arms
Together one cried because nanny couldnt cuddle her anymore
The other (the crayonista ) just wanted to draw on the cast
To cheer nanny up

Poor little girls come up to beech nannys each school oliday
Little awkward this time
so their mum and dad had to take days off
Instead :whistle2::whistle2:

Another 6 weeksOr so until the casts come off:pray::pray::pray:
