I see that Brent crude is down to under one pound a barrel, can we look forward to lower prices at the pumps.

While touring West and North Wales over the last two weeks we have been surprised to see Independent filling stations selling fuel at a lower price per litre than Supermarkets.

On Monday we payed 191.9p at an independent while Tesco was showing 199.9p a few miles down the road.

I would like to know why the massive Sainsburys near us removed its massive digital fuel price board recently, now you have to drive in and up to the pumps to see the prices, has anybody else noticed their Sainsburys branch doing the same?
I hope its not because it ran out of digit spaces to show future prices.;) I must ask next year when we fill up the runabout.:giggle:

Yes. Ours has a large lettered sign under the digital display. Wonder what that is all about?

Local independent has dropped petrol to £1.79 and diesel to £1.83 while local tesco is £1.88 and £1.97, if you drive 14 miles to the next Tesco its £1.81 and £1.88 how does that work then?

I think supermarkets buy further ahead than independents so are tied longer to their prices.
