I know it seems early but planning the Bash is a year long job
Next year with the change of dates I am having to do some serious rethinking, but only two questions need concern potential attendees

Date changes: Thursday June 2nd and Friday June 3rd will be official Bank Holidays
Instead of the official days being Friday to Monday, they are now Thursday to Sunday ( yessss.. I know a lot of folk will arrive days early and a lot leave late but ............. )

Questions are:
1) Should I move the fish and chips to Thursday. Advantage being the supplier will find it easier, folk can still phone up the place and order on Friday too if they so wish.
To that end, I will be supplying those who want them full menus and contact details IF Thursday wins over the Friday option

2) Should I organise the Sunday lunch as there are likely to be a lot of folk wanting to leave early Sunday .. I know an awful lot of folk really enjoyed the Sunday roast so I have to ask the question :-)

Hi John,

Voted and yes please add us to the list of attendees :giggler::imoutahere:

Cheers

Just a TAD early to book mate LOL !!
But your vote of confidence is appreciated :-)

John, I voted yes to F&C (either evening), and yes to Sunday Lunch............but only if paid up front, when booking on the Meet.
Refunds (if any at all), especially under extenuating circumstances, would/should be purely at your discretion, and only where that cost can be easily recovered.

You have enough on your plate annually with this event, without being pi... pi... messed about again IMHO. :(

Cheers,

Jock. :)

If leaving Sunday, have a later departure, after a relaxing lunch?

The fish and chips could be either Thursday or Friday. I was surprised at the number of arrivals this time round on Friday evening, presumably those who couldn't get away till after work. I'd suspect that with the extra bank hol of the Thursday, there will be a number of arrivals during the day to avoid taking time off work, so if F&C is Thursday, it would need to be evening rather than the afternoon it arrived this year (which took some by surprise).

Certainly took ME my surprise !!
They had previously told me 7 to 8pm
The big problem is no one can do them at 6pm as they are always flat out with their regular trade.. But I think if I move them to Thursday might help
But they will arrive 7 to 8.30 which folk moaned about year before last saying it was too late !

You do know you can't please all of the people all of the time, and the challenge is whether you can please even some of the people some of the time?

Personally I often eat late so 8:30 pm (not am ) suits fine :)

It's not really difficult, you know a fish supper is going to be between 7-8:30, have a late lunch. Some people are just made to complain.

Yipppeee, can't wait to come next year.
Voted, happy for F&C on Thursday as most will arrive Wednesday anyway. Also, love the Sunday lunch. In no hurry to go home. (y)

Unfortunately we didnt get the first wave of messages about the time for fish and chips being early this year so as you say we had a late lunch then we heard about the change to the timing...... Gorgeous fish and chips were then had at 5.30pm and it was the size of a whale. Managed to force it all down my gullet though. My wife who doesnt eat fish as a rule said it was the best she'd ever had along with half a gallon of tartar sauce though. Thursday for us Jaws for fish. Personally we wouldn't go for the Sunday lunch again though.

hi john voting done and we will be coming next year,
