Hi all new to MHF I have a Mercedes rapido 986m on 2004 plate, my Omnister awning does not want to pull up in the middle and lock any ideas please.

Do you have a pole to tension the awning mid way along the length of the awning?
We do and the plastic housing for the pole had moved sideways, stopping full retraction of the awning. This was a few years back so memory might be iffy, but remember sliding something sideways. Sorry thats not very clear........

Don't know which model you have but ours had a centre support that the roller rests on and the bearings in the ends had worn, took it off and beefed it up,sorted 👍

Picture might have jogged memory. Does that circled roller bit move sideways? If so it might have moved so that when the awning is rolled in the receiving point for the awning tension pole on the extended awning now hits the circled roller in picture preventing full closure.

Yes it does which is why I repaired ours,to fit a new one it has to be slid in from the end 😳

Make sure that you have not unrolled it too far so that it rolls up the wrong side of the roller. It should roll up with the roller beneath the canopy not above. I made that mistake to find it would not lock in place
