The cap to allow pump removal is deeply recessed making impossible to get fingers to the uniquick fittings. The pipes have to be removed because they are only just long enough with the cap closed. They are connected to the uniquick by clamps or spring clips which are also difficult to access, a masterpiece of German design. Has anyone done this pump change?

I’ve no idea ref your problem but this post will bring it back into circulation again for you,
Someone will be along shortly

On an inaccessible pump I had to cut the pipes, remove the pump with the short bits of pipe attached, fit about a foot of new pipes to the pump, reconnect them to the cut pipes with straight connectors and then refit the pump.
