Hymer Masterline BML
Fellow Members
We recently purchased a new Hymer Masterline motorhome which we are extremely please with.
This model has 2 single beds at the rear which we find very uncomfortable.
The shape on each side is slightly different from a normal single type bed and not truly oblong shaped.
We are considering buying 2 single bed 190cm x 90cm x 5cm foam toppers.
Has anyone come across a similar problem with rear Hymer single beds and come up with a good solution?
Any help would be most welcome.
Many thanks, Paul

If you get memory foam toppers you can easily cut the shape of the mattresses to remove the 'overhang/excess', that's what I've always done also if you get fitted sheets they can be secured under the topper rather than tucked under the mattress itself which means it is much easier to make the beds.

Molly - we have the same issue - as just acquired the same vehicle with the same layout in the rear. What did you finally do...? And did you buy fitted sheets?

thanks in advance

I looked at a new hymer in a dealer last weekend. Mattress just on a board - no slats or spring system. Looked uncomfortable and cheap?

Just seen this thread, we have a new Bml t780, which I had been looking at replacing one mattress (my wife finds her side firm but acceptable) as I find it rock hard with no give at all, good idea from Minxy about a topper, I had been avoiding that as it would make fitting the sheets more of a hassle.

That surprises me, I thought all but the budget makes would have proper springing under the mattresses.

I bought a 3" memory topper 3 vans ago. Fairly cheap solution. Cut one corner to fit French bed. Next van cut the other corner for island bed. Can't fit current van with drop down bed as no headroom.
