Hymer ducato 695 fiat auto .

I have hymer ducato auto.
Will go in reverse and pull ok.
Foward and it stuck in top gear.
Can't drop down to 1st gear .
Need help any body

I think it's a manual box with a converter.not been used .for ages.used to pull like a tank
