Hymer B680 Starline
Exp
Long term a few years now.
I have a year 2000 Hymer B680 starline that we fulltimed in for Three years .

I have kept it in storage for over three years starting it and running it around the storage area,
Thinking i can get back on the road with it but i have finally realised i will not be able to due to health problems.

Wednesday the 4th it will be taken to a local well known motorhome service center in west Sussex .
https://www.reliancecms.uk/ Sorry Jim if im not allowed to post that.

I have asked full engine service and MOT plus a few jobs that i know need doing . Hab check and every thing working etc , plus a valet .

My question to all of the funsters is how much will it be worth , i know only how much someone will pay , but opinions , ive been offered 7 grand as it is.
Is it worth me spending a couple of grand to get it all together ? it had a brand new clutch and flywheel fitted just before it was parked up at 800 quid .

Thanks Steve.

Nice quality van, is it the Merc 2.7 cdi or earlier 2.9D, 2000 was the changeover year.

I wouldnt let it go for peanuts do some research. I personally would get the jobs done a hang out for a decent price

Yep if it's in good nick probably 20-22000. It may sound crazy but that's definitely what they are selling for 🤷

There's a 1998 with 155000 miles on it up for £20k. I hope that £7k offer wasn't from a 'friend' 😉

Hymer B 680 Starline a rare and sought after beast, it took me ages to find one, a friend of mine has a 680 of a similar age excellent build quality and if looked after will retain its value.
Must be worth 20k to 25k depending on overall condition.

Thought it worth resurrecting this thread to highlight an upcoming auction at Synetic.co.uk at Winsford, Cheshire (formerly Car Transplants)...

And ....

Can't work out if they are selling the same vehicle in two parts or what!

Might be of interest to any Hymer Starline owners for parts?

The wing mirrors alone are worth more than the bid at the moment.

Agreed! I seem to remember DavidG58 looking at eyewatering prices for similar headlights a few years ago!

Is there anyone on Fun who is also on Hymer Owners Group or similar forum that could repost this?

I would imagine you could make good money as a breaker for spares.

is it damaged on the back end looks very black in the pictures
just realised its got more than the first pic and yes back is a mess probably not allowed back on the road

Looks to be the result of a fire. Can’t see the rest of the interior being much cop if it was.

Probably why the windscreen has a ‘smoked glass’ finish!

Hi Kuskus, not very good at these forums so in the wrong place but can I ask have you sold you Adria Matrix 670sL Platinum advertised in February 2020? I’m looking for one and yours keeps coming up!

Yes sold it to a dealer July 2020 , absolutely hated the thing , most uncomfortable motorhome I have ever owned.
Sold a lovely Mercedes based Rapido to buy it, big mistake !
I part exchanged it for an older Hymer B680 and they gave me cash back. The Hymers a lot nicer van but doesn't have all the bells and whistles of the Adria and is a bit agricultural to drive but great quality and best of all its really comfortable.

Thanks for the update Kuskus, we are going to be selling ours end of next month. This was our first mobie and we liked it a lot but now going for a Swift 744 with twin lounges, give us more living space for Europe next year (retiring). The reason I asked if it’s still for sale is because I’ve been Googling 670’s for sale and yours keeps coming up at £47k , all other 17 plates on offer are around 58-60k and over. So I wondered how yours could still be for sale at that price… Don’t these get taken down when sold? I gather this is on Motorhome fun classifieds?
