Hi, the headlight warning buzzer (which sounds more like a motor or pump to me) is staying on even with the engine running.
I'm guessing its a loose wire somewhere but does anyone have any ideas, or know where I can get a wiring diagram?
Many thanks
Dave

Are you sure it’s not the step buzzer to tell you the step is out? I don’t recall a headlight buzzer on our 2004 316 Merc😊

Hi, yes the step buzzer is under the front passenger seat (left) but this comes on as soon as you switch the headlights on, even just the side lights.

It actually sounds more like a motor or a pump. Whatever it is, it seems to be located just behind the right headlights in the engine bay. 🤔

Does it have a motor to Adjust your headlights, if so it could be stuck and trying to work ? IMG_20200905_153903.jpg

Kuskus, you are a genius!!! Thats exactly what it is. The motor is not switching off so just keeps going up or down until it hits the end stops regardless of the switch setting. and I thought it was a just rubbish headlight warning buzzer ::bigsmile:

Will take a proper look tomorrow in the daylight - thanks again.
