Hymer B504 SL 2007

Since Adam and Eve built one !
According to my Hymer manual the dipped headlamp bulb is H11 and the description of how to change does not seem to fit with what I see when I try.
can anyone offer any positive help please? What I think confuses it is the levelling capability.

Is it the large hella headlight unit? my 2009 504 had the standard large unit. There was a black cover over the back of the headlamp that pulled off, the back looked like this. Is this the same as yours?

Yes Detnor , I havent removed the large black casing yet, but you have told me its pulls off I will have a better look. As you know access is limited and working mainly left handed I didnt want to wreck any parts in my trying to solve a small problem. Thanks for your help will have another go later today.

update just had a quick look and can see the “black box” but there seems to be a cleat bolted on to hold it to the front panel. Not too difficult to remove that one but is there any more I need to remove as I cant see them let a lone get a spanner to them. I will start later by loosening that cleat and see what I find, why couldnt it have been the main beam thats so much easier?

Your photo suggests the black boot has been removed, the lip on the left side is where it locates. What you should be able to see (or feel) is the back of the light as in my photo. Should be nothing to unbolt. It was a while ago I did this, but needed a photo so I could work out what to get hold of, only a small anti clockwise movement and it popped out.

Detnor, I need to take a better picture as the black box is covering the light unit. If you can see the back of the light and bulb holder that is the main beam, dipped is behind it near the wing if you understand me.
