How many nights away in 2021?

Surprisingly we managed 72 - didn’t realise it was so many til this thread! This included South East: North West: Gower Peninsular: South West: and a tour of Belgium, France and Germany. Hopefully can double that next year.

Sitting here having a gin and tonic on New year's Eve reading this thread we were amazed when we had it had it up how many days we've been away in 114 days and 3 Islands Anglesey outer Hebrides and the Isle of Wight and a lot of places in between have a safe travels and a happy New year

I honestly cant see the fun of MH'ing in the UK, the traffic is an absolute nightmare, and finding somewhere welcoming to park.
My feelings too, 'er indoors wants to do more in the UK but it's not her who does the driving or finds places to stop.
Did manage 45 of our 95 nights in France & Spain, better than none but nowhere enough.

Really happy with 2021, a total of 75 nights away, covering almost 5,000 miles and all in the UK. Our normal average is 100 but hey-ho, we never started until May time so over the moon.

69 this year...
Surprisingly all in Europe 🇪🇺 as some seem to think the UK isn't in Europe anymore..
14 in Portugal, 1 in Spain the rest in Wales and England 🇬🇧

Our worst since haganap records began but seeing as we work and I have another life outside of the motorhome, quite happy with that..

I've done the maths and each night away cost about 600 quid 😉

It is harder avoiding campsites in the UK but we treat it as a challenge and it gets easier as you discover more secret spots for your library.
We like to visit NT properties so there is always a destination to head towards and then find an overnight stop nearby.
Hopefully the NT will allowed MoHo overnight parking eventually.

76 nights, a new record, certainly better than the 5 nights for the previous year. In years prior, the total has usually been in the mid sixties.
All in the UK, on 22 different sites and 11 of those sites were first time visits.

Interesting thread this.

I must try and keep track next year.

Not sure how many nights but I went to some awesome places in the peaks, Yorkshire dales, Devon, mid Wales, Brecon beacons etc. And even went semi full time for a few months!
Sounds like the trips we've done this year Camper Jack👍

Despite spending many, many days sitting on my sofa, I have just totted up the number of nights that I managed away this year in the moho.

Surprisingly it was 62!!

All in the UK between May 6th and November 6th and a mixture of Fun Rallies, sites, C&CC THS and DA meets.

How many did you manage?
89

We spent all of June in Northumberland, Yorkshire and the Midlands, whilst two weeks of September were spent in St Neots and Cromer. So a total of 46 nights for us. Dogs loved the Northumberland and Norfolk beaches- as did we. Beautiful areas that we will return to. Got to see my first Banksy too - at Cromer.

Roll on 19 April when it’s through Holland & Germany to Switzerland. 86 days total- 60 in Switzerland. ❤️❤️ Hopefully arranging Pet Passports in Holland too 🤞

That will be a fab 2022 if that all comes off!

Just checked on my Polarsteps and we spent 126. Not too bad considering I had an operation in summer.

Up to Scotland to see an old friend and summer in Uk when we got away. France in Sept/Oct

We swapped our Elddis for an old Hymer in November 2019, parked it on the drive for a few cosmetic bits. Covid hit in January 2020, then Lockdown, then Mum became frail and needed caring for until finally passing away August 2021 aged 104. Between then and now I've been busy sorting her affairs so the grand total of nights away since we bought the Hymer more than two years ago is ZERO/NUL/ZILCH/NADA/RIEN !! We have fingers firmly crossed for finally getting away this year although the 90/180 rule won't allow us to spend our usual three months in the South of France.

We normally spend around 150 nights away each year, 120 on the continent. But having sold our van in April 21 & missed a new purchase by a couple of days we are still waiting for our order to arrive, much delayed.

So 2021 nights away is a big ZERO and we are missing it more than I could have imagined. Only glad the pandemic is now and not just starting afresh, hopefully 2022 will be much better and we can start travelling again after April, if it arrives by then ☹️

I managed 237! But I did move into my van full time this year! 😂 😂
So, how many have you done so far in 2022? :roflmto: I'm planning to be off 27th Feb to Wales making my way up north, hoping to beat last years 237!

Only 41 for us this year. All in the UK. A mixture of Sites, Brit Stops a few car parks and the odd field. Managed to get down to Devon & Cornwall and also a week around Norfolk, which we had planned from the year before. Hoping to get across the Channel this year
