Five years plus three tugging
I'm a couple of years from retirement and I'm considering how far we can actually go. I've seen that you can leave Europe to Africa (Morocco) and Asia (Turkiye), but where else have you taken YOUR motorhome. Hiring one in Australia, or renting a big RV in USA doesn't count. Where have you driven to from UK? Ferries are allowed.

I'd like to say there is a prize for the furthest or best, but there isn't. I might buy you a beer, should we ever meet up tho.
Might.

There is more to motor homing than miles on the clock. I first leant this when the kids were young. Are we there yet dad. :giggle:
Nowadays when traveling across distant horizons we tend to let the plane take the strain.(y)

Will have to get a compass out , and do a circle on map

There are many great places to go in Europe before you start considering further affield. Morocco is great for winter though.

My ex- mother in laws friend lost her husband and 17 year old son to cancer within months of each other back in the 90s.
Out of the blue she bought a campervan and set off for Australia, stayed there for 6 months, sold the van and flew home.
I'd known her for many years, I'd never even seen her driving the family car.

About 5 years after the Wall came down we visited East Germany. May not be the furthest distance but it was certainly an experience!
Did that by train from Dusseldorf a year after re-unification.
A Trabant round every corner and bamboo scaffolding used in house builds.
Cheap as chips at the time.

I’ve been to Scotland but have decided that it’s too far to go again 😜

Just look what you're missing:giggler:

Iceland. Used to be drive to Harwich 90 minutes, overnight ferry to Esbjerg, then drive to Hirtshals 3 hours, then three day ferry to Seydisfjordur with stop over in Faroes. Unfortunately ferry to Esbjerg now finished, + Iceland is overrun with tourists.

We ditched the boat to do more travelling in Europe. As Jon says many places to go.

Last year we drove down to Italy, ferry to Greece and to an island, plus Peloponnese. We could have carried on to Turkey but for various reasons I do not like the country.

That trip was easy and if one drew a circle at that radius there is enough to keep one busy for a lifetime.

My fartherest flung places have been Svalbard and Greenland but you can't do them with a motorhome.
