Sadly Holly’s health had deteriorated and although we did our best for her, she had gone off her usual food so she ate like a princess towards the end, we fed her on whatever we could tempt her with - cat pouches, cat biscuits, tuna, salmon, cod, sardines, chicken thighs, finally we decided it was best to have her PTS as she had very little quality of life left and we didn’t want her to suffer

She had done so well, she was always a fighter, lived life to the full and was strong and never gave up.

Thankyou, we are all feeling sad, luckily our other dog Alfie (gsd) seems to be doing ok, he loves human company so he’s getting extra cuddles! He is 12 himself.

So sorry to read this. Never an easy decision, even when you know it’s the right one.

Having recently been through that with our Max you have our deepest sympathy. They become part of you’re life.
The most painful time for us was the time spent without him or another dog to replace him. Our daughter moved just before he passed away so our lives suddenly became empty.
Fortunately we now have another dog to give as much love as Max .
