Loads of vans in the car park next to the main lift this morning, maybe 20 odd. Photo from the bus on my way up.

I didn’t realise vans were allowed to park up in the main glacier car park. I was surprised to see them. I’ve been in Mayrhofen for a couple of days and the conditions haven’t been the best, it’s too warm and the snow is poor by mid morning. The glacier today was much better. Going back there tomorrow.

Hintertux was always the place to go when skiing poor elsewhere.
Seems little has changed in 40yrs?

Just for something different to do on our wedding anniversary, my wife and I spent a week there at the hotel Vieryareseiten (spelling not quite correct) at the end of July around 20 years ago. There were quite a lot of national ski teams having training sessions there at that time.
