Well travelled
The Skiach station near Alness/Dingwall has stopped serving LPG. Found out today, will be calling them when we get home, to find out why.
Whilst we were in there getting diesel 3 mohos drove in and out when thay saw the sign on the machine.
Nearest is Tore roundabout.

That was normally where I went when going north. I had a 6 hour round trip to there last winter as I ran out of gas when up north west and the Ullapool place was closed at the weekend. It was much cheaper then Perth or Ullapool.

We were told by the young couple that wrote the NC500 book that you could only reliably get LPG around Inverness so fill up when ever you can. This was only at a Warners show presentation in Norwich, July.

Beauly holiday park, 10/15 mins from Tore do refillable gas, or take the back road from Inverness to Tore, nae sure the price they are charging just now though.

LPG companies have priced themselves out of the game.
The van that we are currently building is gas-less & thats becoming more common since lock down & companies like Calor lost the plot.
I don't actually know of anywhere in south west Scotland who fill LPG tanks anymore & tbh I don't miss them.

Don't blame the supplier. Use Autogas App and fill!
I use garages and top up diesel. Too many fill diesel tanks and wonder why have outlets dropped.
Local garage stops papers? Can't survive on the Saturday rush.
Make an effort to support or lose it. Why not stop and top-up? Give some support.
Off the soap box, but only the consumer creates demand 🤬.

I don't think they lost the plot. Im guessing they just did a cost-benefit calculation and decided the costs of maintaining the infrastructure vs the benefits of tiny LPG sales to motorhomes was negative, ie they were making a loss on supplying LPG to motorhomes, so shut it down.

I filled up at Newton Stewart last September and my LPG.EU shows the Wigtown Road Services was most recently confirmed as having LPG on 24/08/2025. There is also one at Auchencairn but this has not been confirmed for a few months.
