Pretty much got the hang of it now!
Dear All

Many thanks for all of you who have provided me with advice/answers to the fair number of threads I have posted. As a Newbie with little/no knowledge, I have become more familiar with how things work etc. Hopefully, this will be my last 'ASK' for a while.

On the shower room wall of my 2003 Autotrail Dakota SE, is a white 'S' - shaped aluminium tube with a turquoise Hiatco sticker on it (attached below). At the bottom it is connected to some brown ducting tube which then disappears under the flooring under the fixed bed next door The tubing appears to be is a smaller diameter version of that which takes the warm air from the Truma heater. I presume therefore it is a heater of sorts but have no idea how it works. There are no manual online of nothing mentioned in the Autotrail owners manual. I had the Truma S3002EL heater on full at 2000w and fan on full too for 2 hours the other day but the white pipe in the shower room was still cold.

Any answers would be most helpful. I have asked Autotrail but am still awaiting the return phone call.

Many thanks again for any advice you can give me.

Hi Paul. Hiatco are a north east company who used to specialise in all the chroming for Autosleeper They were created by three men from the Compass company.
I wasn't aware of any heater production . The sticker possibly referers to the fabrication being done by them.
They are based at West Road, Annfield Plain near Stanley, Co.Durham.

Hi Wiljoy
Thanks for that. Yes if you search online you can see they are still operating as aluminium fabrications etc. The sticker has their address on it and phone number neither of which have not changed for at least 17 years. I have emailed them to see if they have any info.
Nothing yet from Autotrail mind!!
Paul
