I decided to fix the leaky shower tap in the Augusta.

So after checking out O'Leary's and drawing a blank I found a Baily's C***Van tap that looked the same:

Only problem is the tails are different threads, the new one is larger than the old 2007 Augusta product.

So tried to remove the said 2007 tails but they are fixed by some kind of snap-on method:

Any ideas how to remove them?

The other thing is the Plinth the tap is mounted on is showing it's age:

But I guess I can try plastic weld or some crack glue?

Any help and suggestions (Other than buy a new Burstner/Hymer) gratefully received.

Hi
The fittings in your photo, where the blue and red pipes join, are standard push fit. To release the plastic pipe you need to depress the black ring on the fitting and pull on the plastic pipe. It is easier if you start by pushing the plastic pipe in at the same time depress the locking ring. I find the best tool for releasing these is 12mm open ended spanner, it allows you to get more purchase on the locking ring.
Te refit, simply push pipe into fitting, just make sure it has gone fully home. Another tip, mark the pipe with a pen to the required depth, that way you can see if it has gone fully home.

As for the enclosure. I thing if it was me, I would use P40 fibreglass reinforced filler and possibly a ply reinforcing plate. Let's face it, you can make a very strong if messy repair, as it will not show when finished.
