As a newbie can one of you experts help explain what the weight numbers mean . Is 1 the weight on the front axle and 2 the rear axle , as we don't have a 3rd is guess this is blank. . I should have asked the dealer to explain this to me but there were lots more toys to play with . Thanks in anticipation

4430kg is your maximum laden / gross / mam Weight, Stay under this when loaded and passengers to remain legal.
5500kg is "Train weigh" Max of the vehicle and any trailer... So if van was at its max 4430, thats 5500 - 4430 = trailer and load of max 1070kg..... This can be moved around ie. if the van was only 4000kg then your trailer could be 1500 etc..

1 and 2 as you state are front and rear axle max weights (y)
3 is when a third axle is fitted on some vans.

, and yes I have a C1
Thanks

I once had several conversations with the owner of a brand new Autotrail 700 on the AT facebook group.
Being a 700 owners he was asking me for info, tips, getting to know his vehicle etc.
While he was away on a trip and having an issue we got around to weights. Turned out he didnt have a C1 for the 4250kg van :Eeek: but dealer had been more than happy to take his £50k+..... :swear2:
