Hi, we have recently bought a Mclouis Tandy 650. We have no idea how to empty the hot water tank, can anyone help us please. This is our first Motorhome and the handover when we bought it was minimal so are struggling with some things. Thanks in advance

Hi I don't know this model but most have a valve next to the boiler with a paddle type handle, if you can find this open it and all the taps.

Hopefully someone with more detailed knowledge will be along soon

Your hot water tank will be the same as in many other MHs, there are only a few water heater manufacturers, the most popular are Truma and Alde.

The water heater will almost certainly have a frost protection valve, which dumps the water automatically if the temperature falls below about 5 degrees. This frost protection valve can usually be operated manually, to empty the water tank ready for storage. It's usually quite close to the water heater, on the floor. As you can imagine, there are a number of threads about this, for example

Most European makers fit the electrical dump valve, has a red knob at the top, up is for the valve closed and down dumps the water to the ground beneath.
