Can anyone point me as to WHY emails /and attachments are not being received at their destination .. recipient.

There has never been an issue for years but the last couple of months they not arriving despite being in my SENT folder as though they have gone.

Is this to a specific recipient, or multiple whow would use different email servers?

Often systems will now simply delete mail they consider to be spam without warning the recipient. I know Virgin Media behaves that way. Could your email be seen as spam?

I have had emails off my son for years but this last year all his emails go in the spam folder even though he is on my contact list.
Never found out why

Just to one person.

I have sent mail to them for years but they contacted me to say I han't replied for a couple of months but I had, each week, and cannot see how mail content could be mistaken for spam. The mail is not in the junk box either. It is Google mail at their end.

Have they inadvertently blocked you as a sender therefore your mails won't be pulled in at all?
If they can still open an old e-mail from you get them to click the 3 dots at the top right (next to the reply arrow) and there should be an option for unblock sender (or something similar) if they have.

Ask them to send you an email then reply to it. If they don't receive your email then they are filtering it out somehow. Also check before you send it the email address they are using now is the one you have recorded. :)

I had a similar problem several years back but this time the cause could be different. Back then it was caused by hotmail and other big players blocking any server they detected as being the source of spam. They didn’t block all the servers of other email providers, just the individual ones which spammers were connected to. Their reasoning at the time was that some email providers were not making enough effort to control spam. Perhaps this is something similar.
