Does anyone know what the make of this tap is? It decided to become a shower all of sudden, problem is we are down in the Algarve and all of the motorhome fitters seem to be to busy to help🤬. So I will try and order one off Amazon and fix it myself (what could go wrong). As it at the moment we can’t use any of the water system because of it .TIA

That looks like a domestic tap rather than an expensive plastic motorhome tap, the fixing give it away.
I would visit a DIY store or plumbers merchant.

Temporarily you could disconnect the tails where they join the system and cap off the pipes.

It looks like a standard fitting basin tap so you should be able to replace it with any mixer tap. Try and choose one with the same tail fittings to reduce the cost and work.

Thanks Lenny I knew you would be the first I think there is not much you don’t know about Motorhomes 👍 . Stop ends would do the job but what size do you reckon?

What he said.
Sounds like the cartridge or O rings have given up the ghost.
Usually a small screw holding the handle part on then unscrew. Just prize the little cap off on the handle to locate screw.
If u can find a plumbers merchant they will likely have the parts u need.

if its a wash hand basin, then its likely to be an 8mm flexible hose. pretty standard, dont overtighten the hoses into the tap fitting when you replace it - prob easier to replace rather than repair, though i would def try replacing o rings first. if you remove the braided hoses from the tap itself, you will see the o rings that need to be replaced.

as you have already removed the tap, youve done all the hard work !!

Know way of knowing without seeing the plumbing, could be flexible hose type pipes either 10 or 12mm or rigid which would probably be 12mm. You will probably have to do some dismantling to get at the pipes.

Take the tap with you so you can compare to the ones for sale, by the time you've messed about capping the pipes you'll have fitted the new one.

It's what is commonly known as a mixer tap. As you cannot use it, just remove it (after marking which pipe goes to which connection) and take it to the store, as Lenny said, cap it or put a push fit stop connection on the end so you can still use the other taps, if no tap can be found.
