I am John, my handle is anglervanman which probably gives away my reason for having a van! My main fishing club has over 200 venues many of which have parking facilities which suits me perfectly- secure locations in remote places!
Live on Merseyside, own a Relay Self Conversion, which doesn't get enough use! It is on a 13 plate and has clocked under 18K miles! Covid really knocked the van use! My love of fishing is only matched by the love of my two Springer Spaniels, and my family! I have now converted two vans twice, and am getting better at it each time! I look forward to joining some of the rallies, and combining some fishing along the way! Looking forward to meeting more members!

don't fish, but like eating it, but think there is a difference between angling and fishing. Hope to see you at a meet or rally

By the sound of it you have never eaten really fresh fish then??? Nothing like a fresh caught trout wrapped in multi layers of newspaper soaked in the water the fish came from, and left to steam in its on juices over the coal of an open fire! Add a piece or two of fresh bread, and a mug of hot tea, sit back and ponder what other people are eating for their breakfast! Enjoy!

Oh but I have, so much fresh brown trout that I didn't eat trout for a while afterwards, had gone on a caravan holiday and my partner at that time he loved fishing, there was a stream running through the site, much as i love fish trout breakfast dinner and tea fo almost a week was a bit much.
fish straight off the boats too, remember catching whiting, well my dad and his friend did while at croy bay in scotland, and the river in front of our house when i was young, was full of salmon, not that we ever had fresh salmon 😉 no comparison between the taste of line caught and farmed sea bass either. Oh and my other favourite, freshly caught mackerel griddled with horseradish sauce.
