Heading to Varese

I’m heading south to Varese in Nov this year, looking at a 14 day round trip, I’m thinking Euro tunnel then go from there.

Looking to get down there over 3 days and the same on the way back.

This will be our first time into Italy and France so what do I need to know?

Any good places to stop on route or around Varese?
