Hand held vac with floor length extension?

Can anyone personally recommend a hand held, rechargeable vacuum cleaner that has either an extendable, err, thinggy on it that reaches the floor or a separate floor length thinggy extension we can attach when required? Sorry if my description is a bit too technical ...

There are faazends of 'em on the market, and I would take personal recommendations over Amazon reviews any day.

I use a small handheld rechargeable but means getting on my hand and knees with it, but very good.

Aint got nun of them extendable thingy things

We have a Vax Blade which has a piece that can be removed.

We've got a Hoover Cordless. Had it a few years now still works and holds its charge.

I have mentioned on another post that I bought a Makita hand held vacuum cleaner with full length extension for floor cleaning. Very powerful and allows me to use the rechargeable batteries that I have for my other Makita power tools.

Thanks, all. Just ordered a Hoover Cordless. I could see myself going down the endless research path with this one. I had already added that to my Amazon wishlist as a potential.
