I noticed that our hab door is starting to bubble at the bottom. Ours is the gold colour, I'm sure I read somewhere this is a known problem ?

Definitely a known problem ... I can't recall the manfacturer of door involved, but we have had two replaced on previous motorhomes, one Autosleeper Windsor and another on Autocruise Augusta.

Sorry as this is the Hymer section, I should have said Hymer B544 2012.

it's not ready for a new door..........yet

Hymer had a paint bubbling issue with some 2008-2010 vehicles that was picked up in 2010, so it isn't unheard of. You could ask Hymer if there is an issue. You could also try a specialist motorhome body repair company like Cannock Resprays, they have plenty of Hymer knowledge

Recently saw a pic of severe bubbling on a Carthago door, however this was halfway up. Door replaced under warranty.

Your low down bubbling is possibly caused by corrosion of the aluminium skin. Common problem on Landrovers especially those used in humid climates.

Agree, I used to have a Defender so know all about aluminium.

Had a similar issue with a previously owned MH, a Chausson 2010 reg, the paint was bubbling at the bottom, in the end Chausson authorised for a new door to be put on which we were never happy with as the colour difference was quite noticeable ... this has obviously happened with other Chaussons too as you just have to look at the colour of the hab door to spot the replacements.
