Guitar wanted, cheap or better still free

I am looking to mess about with modifying an electric guitar, new pickups etc etc... I have looked on ebay and some are either rough or expensive for a strat copy.

Does anyone have an electric guitar they no longer want...

Got an old strat body that needs sanding and repainting. You would have to get a neck for it then it would need all the electrics and a scratch plate.....

call round your local charity shops and ask them to hang on to any they get in as they often chuck them if they are broken/not working. I have found a couple of gems over the years.
