Looking at merc sprinter vans and some models have a gross vehicle weight which exceeds gross train weight.....bit confused by this....what could they tow?.....or am I misreading this?

Eg

GVW 5500kg
GTW 3500kg

You can only tow a trailer full of helium baloons?

my guess is thats the amount they can tow rather than gross train weight

I’m torn between a misprint and that’s what the actual towing weight is....🤷🏼‍♂️

The figures are in the wrong columns, no way can a van tow 5 tonne

In my opinion columns 2 and 4 are the wrong way around.

A sprinter 315 is a 3.5t sprinter with 150bhp.

Gross train would never be shown like that.
It's always shown as the combined weight of the van and trailer.....never just the max permitted trailer weight..

if you add the columns for kerb weight figure and the payload figure you get the gross vehicle weight. they are in the wrong columns . column 2 and 4 have been switched in error.
