Not Long Enough...!!
What is on the market which would clean and recolour the plastic Grey type bumpers which have faded and lost there sheen.

Have seen kits which will redye black bumpers but unsure of Grey kits.

There are a few products you might try, it really depends on what has caused the fade. There used to be a product called "back to black" ignore the name, it isn't a colouring product, it simply makes bumpers shiny. I think it still exists. Alternatively, autoglym do a brilliant product for exterior plastic, that cures plastic fade. Sadly I am having C.R.A.F.T moment, and the name escapes me!

If it just looks 'dull' quick cheap and easy way is clean it with an oily rag.

Wont be a permanent cure but it does make it look better

Autglym bumper restore gel works well on our Landrovers bumpers just wipe it on with a cloth.

Thanks
Will not know how faded it is until November as its in Taz..
Just need to know what is worth getting when there to brighten it up.

My transit bumpers which are grey got all discoloured and I was told by someone who valets cars for the trade to put a hot air gun on them!It works!!I tried a bit and was impressed so took the bumpers off.removed number plates and did them all over. They looked great.Start at one end and as you move forward you can see them changing back to original colour and sheen.

I agree with robrace, had my van washed and asked about the bumper, he did the same, but left the bumper on, came up brilliantly, just waxed it after to keep the shine.
Cheers, Dave:xThumb:

If it isn't a paint finish and just a plastic bumper then a hairdryer will bring it back to original.
Hold it on one spot till you see it start to go shiny then sweep it slowly back and forth

Autosmart Finish is really good but beware buying from eBay etc. as some dealers dilute it down to sell more!!
