Love it when you fix something that's you gave up on.
Truma heater would not spark.
Ages looking at it..Google...Just about to order new piezo ignition in desperate attempt....then one more time to look at it.
Cover off..again...tried piezo..no spark in window.
Hang on..what's that spark on the case halfway down?
Bloody wire bare and shorting out!
Bit of insulation tape...boom...fixed.
Now for my temperamental fridge!!!!

Use several layers of insulation tape. The thickness required depends on the voltage of the spark, and it's likely to be well over a thousand volts.

I've used standard cable insulation, stripped off and secured. Though a new cable shouldn't be too hard on the budget. Just check where it shorted to make sure the problem doesn't occur again.
