Hi any funster going to Norway soon? I've got 400 NKr (2 x 200Nkr notes, the new ones) left over from my trip, I brought back last week. The Post office won't take them back. Ideas?

Try other currency places, someone will take them back surely, perhaps the likes of Thomas Cook?.

Just had a check and I think Tesco do them too.

I would have thought whoever sold them would take them back, but you might agree a better rate on here I guess (y)

@jumartoo are planning on Norway later this year

The problem with selling cash/cash value type items, is that posting them costs a lot as you have to send them special delivery I think, so unless you've got a lot to sell, and/or can hand them over in person, it will likely work out better to just exchange them where you can.

I think the value of them is around £36 so not a massive amount.

I hadn't done the maths o_O was thinking it was 100's

Some charities take foreign currency if you get no takers on here (y)

Our daughter lives in Norway and is back in the uk next week but as Minxy said by the time you have securely posted them it would hardly be worth it.

Surely someone will exchange them back?

Did you get yours from the PO or were you just trying to use them for convenience to sell back? They appear to buy back if bought from them

Martin @jumar says he thinks @Augusta08 needs a medal for managing to exit Norway with money still in his/her wallet .

Very best rate is £36 so changing back you'd get nowhere near that much. We're off to Norway and Denmark on monday but not really enough time to sort it with you as I don't think you're in the UK.
