Gmail and content blockers (1 Viewer)

Hi. Hope someone can help please. I have had a gmail account for years but lately cannot sign in as I get an error message saying "URL blocked by content blocker". Even if I appear to disable the content blocker (Adblock Plus), I still can't log in and access my Gmail. I normally use Apple Mail and access my Gmail through that. Google help just keeps telling me to change my password which does absolutely nothing. Thanks

Try accessing via the Gmail app. If you don’t have it down load it first.

Uninstall ad blocker plus. Then open gmail and sign in as normal. Ad blocker plus digs deeper and sees Gmail as a Site for spam . I have Ad blocker which works with Gmail. When I installed (Paid for) Ad blocker plus...Nothing would work properly because of the Minute bits and pieces that actually are adverts! Stupid I know. However.. once removed and re installed as a basic package ..all was ok.

PS...Ad blocker base is a red symbol on your address bar. Ad blocker plus is Blue..

Or, if using Firefox, use uBlock Origin instead. Don't know if it's available for other browsers.
