Hi All
I have recently had a ghost 2 pro immobiliser fitted to my car . It certainly seems a good bit of kit and gives me some comfort . I had it professionally fitted. Don’t get me wrong I know that if a professional thief wants the car they will have a way to take it I am sure !
My question is this , has anyone had a Ghost fitted to their Fiat Ducato based MH .
If so , has it been trouble free ?

I have a ghost 2 on my truck, my daughter has had them on her last two Range Rovers. Not had any problems with any of them, but to my knowledge nobody has tried to steal them so I don't know how effective they are. The insurance didn't give a discount but that may because the ghost is not Thatchem approved. It makes me feel just a little bit safer so worth it for that.

Yes...and yes!

The only oddity is that once you've entered the unlock code you have to cycle the ignition key to start the engine.

Had one fitted on my previous VW van. I forgot to key in the code one day, and the van started anyway! Took it back for a software update, but the problem persisted. Excellent when it works, but make sure it is actually working!
Hi Golden Vision
Yes , my engine will always start without the code , however you can’t engage drive without the code. I think that is why they re branded it the Ghost 2 Pro . It allows the car to be remotely started for cooling or heating etc . So far so good 🤞🏻

Ah, we don't have the "pro" model installed, just the bog standard "ghost 2".

Ghost is a really good brand and a good bit of kit.

What I would add is that if you have expensive MH but more so cars on your drive, I'd look at investing in some 3* anti snap locks on any standard euro locks. They are a piece of cake to fit and they massively improve your home security incase anybody tries to get into the house without realising that you have a ghost fitted first.

Before I retired last year I was a CSI in Manchester. We had loads of vehicles go missing every night but I've seen a few videos of the thieves scratching their heads when the vehicle owner invested in a ghost, pure comedy. It's like a benny hill sketch when watched on 2x speed! 😄

Funnily enough you'll remember I now own that van - I usually remember to enter the code, and it's refused to start when I haven't! You must have caught it on an off (or, perhaps, on!) day!

I have a ghost 2 on my alfa and it was fitted by one of Autowatchs top technicians and took 2 days as they had never fitted one to my model before and needed to locate the correct wires and create can files. Mine inhibits the engine, but the tech told me that sometimes they inhibit the auto box if there is a particular vulnerability. Eg some land or range rovers were being started using the auto stop start system, hence inhibiting the gearbox.
