Hi all, in a previous post I fitted new radio/CD/Sat nav/Camera thingy and new heat/air con controls in MoHo, cut grass, sat in the garden to admire my efforts, drank too much Speckled Hen.

Still Bored so I jacked up the Moho and put it on axle stands, took all the wheels off (who needs a wheel lock) to have a look at the brake pads etc. I then had a light bulb moment. Why not replace all the wheels with nice shiny alloys.

Back into house on the computer and found a set of alloys. It was at this moment SWMBO pointed out we were on lockdown and even if I got the new wheels delivered where could I get the tyres fitted to them, even if I could get to a tyre fitters, ""as we are on lockdown"".

I pondered the situation for a moment then pressed buy. I will cross the fitting bridge when I get to it. ??

Pic 3 & 4 New shiny alloys

More on this later.

minesapint all the tyre fitting centres around here are open for business as they are considered essential for keeping nhs and essential workers mobile.
Rather than taking your wheels to a fitting centre could you find a mobile fitter who would come to you.

Yes I thought of that but I may leave it a few weeks until things get better. (y)

Well at least that is one motorhome that is safe from being stolen, at least for now.

Pic 3 (Alloy Wheels) looks like standard rubber valves, i recommend changing them to metal high-pressure ones, IMO are a lot safer.

Hello thanks for your post, the wheel sizes and info is hopefully readable from the first picture, it reads 5 1/2 J x 16 x 56. The tyres I am removing are 215/75 R16C if that helps.
Do you want the wheel trims as well.

Pricewise the wheels have only covered 20K miles and are in excellent condition, new I think they are about £65, would £30 each be OK and the trims at £7.50 each. + postage, I am open to sensible offers..

Thanks for mentioning the valves, the new ones have metal centres but I may change them to the stainless ones that can be tightened up with a nut on the valve stem.
