Germany - Google Earth

Intending to visit the Moselle valley next week we looked on Google Earth, as usual, to get an idea of places we wanted to visit.

On our iPad Google Earth states “no street view available for this area”.

Is it just us or is this the case for Germany?

Germany has very strict privacy laws. No StreetView allowed. Yes, it's irritating because you can't check to see if you'll be able to park at your intended destination.

Privacy laws in Germany prevent it.

Street View is available in some parts but it's not as comprehensive as many other countries.

Have a look here https://www.mosel-webcams.de/ will give you a feel for the place , it has to be one of the easiest areas to tour as multiple large Stellplatze , Big hypermarket at Zell (Globus) with MoHo parking . Light traffic by UK standards . Stellplatze are not expensive. HTSH Good shopping in Cochem , Traben and Bernkastle , same for eating and drinking ps dont plan on Enkirch stellplatze last weekend in August 1st Sept as overland meet , was there last year and it was over 850 motorhomes .
