I find myself unexpectedly in Germany next week and am looking for a combination of aires and campsites with swimming pools\slides etc. The aires are covered by parkfornight and stellplatz. Can anyone recommend a good resource for searching general campsites in Germany. I will be around Frankfurt if that’s helpful.

TIA

We've found the many stellplatz are quite close to the town freibad. These are open air swimming complexes surrounded by grass for sitting etc . They usually have cafes with beer! We paid 3euro for an all day ticket at the one in emmendingen . Not sure if that helps...

We used ACSI sites too, I think you can search by facilities on their website
I just selected Southern Germany as an example and Advanced Search

If you are using one of the many parking areas near town centres make sure you don't go into a low emission zone! Loads of towns in Germany have them.

Reviews say it doesn't work offline is that correct?
I've not had any issues whether off line or not, I use it when tent camping/touring on my motorbike or car across the Channel.

Just switched phone to 'Airplane' mode and it works fine.

Don't forget to use Google maps.Showed most campsites recently in France/Spain.

A big thank you and apologies to all those who replied. I only got an email notification this morning - I had thought my post went unanswered!! The opposite! My 15yr boy is getting capped for Ireland in a 8 nation hockey tournament in Frankfurt and the camper is bringing the family over to support! About to start booking ferries(landbridge - Rosslare, Pembroke, Dover Calais) and then doing some reaseach with the resources referenced above - thank you.
