Anybody know the weight of empty 11 kg cylinders for the above ?
Is the alugas significantly more expensive?

If you check out autogas2000 i think their site has all the info.

6.6 kg v 12.4 kg in favour of alugas. There you are, despite me being lazy I found the answer myself. Mmm, deserve a beer for that!

The Gaslow R67 11kg cylinder we had said tare weight 14 point something kg on the bottom ring even though Gaslow claim 12.4kg. I wonder if the 12.4 is the previous cylinder weight and they've not altered it on the website. We changed to twin 11kg Alugas and they feel ridiculously light compared to the Gaslow cylinders.
I couldn't bring myself to add a second Gaslow knowing the weight of them, just under 2 stone difference on a twin cylinder set up.

To answer your other question, I believe that Alugas are quite a bit more expensive so if you don't need the weight saving go for Gaslow or Gasit bottles.

Depending on where you buy a Gaslow cylinder from, there's around £20 to £40 difference per bottle. Well worth the difference, in my view.

If you have an external gas locker I would go for Alugas, our first van had an external locker ( last 2 in the garage) and the Stako bottles the powder coating started flaking off after a few years bottles going rusty and looking tatty.
Do they support remote filler points?
No.

No.
Thanks, that confirms my suspicion.

Our original Gaslow cylinder was bought in 2009 and spent the first few years of it's life in an externally accessed MH locker, no signs of rust etc at all.

Just to add information, the GasIt Tech sheet shows 11Kg bottles as 10.7Kg empty, I've not weighed one.

Cheers
