Following on from our nightmare fridge scenario and removal, we have decided to either buy a 2 way fridge 12v / 240v or compressor as we mostly stay on site and ehu so doing away with gas. So my question is what blanking cap do I need? I measured the pipe and its approximately 8mm.I have attached a link is this what i need?
Amazon product ASIN B00KFG2K5C

Best advice :- LPG repairs on leisure vehicles should be carried out by a qualified person.
I paid £720 to become qualified to ACOPS STGW standard { 5 day training course in Birmingham }.

Shouldnt there also be a manifold shut off somewhere to isolate the fridge. If so you could isolate and fit your stop end.

You need a mechanical blanking on the end, you shouldn’t be able to uncap the gas supply without tools. Doing as you propose would do this by using the compression fitting on the end.

Switching off the gas at the manifold is enough but the 8mm stop end will be 'belt and braces'.... to be sure switch gas back on and check with washing up liquid, then switch off again at manifold...

Definitely not enough to just isolate at manifold that leaves an open end on a gas pipe , fine for someone that understands what exactly has been done but then the vehicle is sold ?
Washing up liquid is highly corrosive please don’t ever use it near gas installations , I have some pictures of Gaslow cylinders that have been sprayed with it ⚠️ I was surprised how corrosive it is .

You just reminded me that I needed to order some for scout camp. (Yes, I actually use leak detector every time I attach a regulator to a Calor). You'd be surprised how many regulators actually have little weeps and need to be condemned if you connect enough of them!
