Gas containers

On a job today in EMR scrap yard in Cardiff and they have loads and loads of refillable gas containers just thrown away.

Out of date?
Closed company?

Shame.

Are those maybe the Calor Lite cylinders that were recalled?

Certainly looks like them. You can now only swap for standard 6kg or 3.9kg (if even they exist). The recalled ones need to end up somewhere.

Looks as if they have all had holes punched in them and the valves removed to prevent reuse.

I’ve still got a “lite” in my garden. Was hoping they would continue to use them
