Hi, I have the room for 2 X 13kg gas bottles in my gas compartment, I'm fairly new to motor homing so wondered if anyone carries 2 X 13kg bottles? The reason for asking is I'm traveling to the EU and understand that Calor gas is difficult to get over there.

I think you will find there are an awful lot of us who run two bottles..
Some, like me. use refillable ( I use Alugas, but there are of course others ) and other just use a couple of ordinary bottles :)

Two Alugas cylinders will weigh about the same as a single 13kg Calor, if you want or need more usable payload consider this aspect!

Cheers, I thought that might be the case.

+1 for Alugas

How long are you “traveling to the EU?” The reason I ask is if you need more gas your not going to get Calor. If your serious about touring abroad refillable is the answer or one calor as backup for uk and one refillable.

Hi only a couple of weeks around Norway so figure the heating will get hammered hence 2 gas bottles

In the summer I use 1x13kg every 3 weeks....I never use hook up.....fridge,BBQ and heating/hot water...in the summer of Norway that is...

2 x 13kg gas bottles should be ample for your trip to heat the small internal size of most motorhomes with gas to spare for cooking etc. If looking to heat a large 4-5 bed house it could be borderline.
