We have a Knaus with a UK bayonet gas refilling point. I can't make out if the advertised Spanish adapters have to replace it or whether I can use an adapter to connect what we have to a filling point. The pictures rarely look as if they would connect to the bayonet socket. Any advice would be helpful.

Oh right - I'll have a look. Thanks for the quick responses all.

Make sure you get a straight through adaptor as they do them with a non return valve and they can make filling a pain.
Mine has the non return valve, not a major problem with suitable gloves as there is a second chuff of gas on unscrewing the adaptor. I use proper cryo gloves.
I believe some have drilled out the valve.

Not everyone is as sensible as you. I have heard of problems where people have had problems filling. Not sure why but I assume the first valve reduces the pressure and second valve won't open.

Having lost mine I ordered a Spanish one from Gas-It, but when we came to use it there was a problem. WE could screw it into the van OK but could not get the LPG pump to screw into it. We consulted one of the filling station staff who said that the pump end was the wromg size. I have just sent it back to Gas-It after talking to them on the phone. Will see what they say! Luckily we had enough to get to France so didn't need to try it again.

This year we've used the "Euro" connector in Spain and I had a real job to get the hose to lock on (it does rotate like the UK ones ) I was pressing the lock lever the wrong way but a kindly Spanish lady helped me out

We also used the French version as well (in France obviously) as they seem to be not bothering to change

One thing we did observe was lots of new LNG pumps going in on the Autovia for trucks to use

I bought a bag of three adapters from Gasit: French dish, Spanish bullet, and large ACME thread type that I've rarely used, in Luxembourg and Ireland I think. Never found a pump they won't fit.

I agree. I think the reason they are a pain is some of the Spanish pumps do not produce enough pressure to open the none return valve. I replaced my valved one with the straight through version.
