Garmin camper 780 U/S - Replace with Lenova M9?

In Portugal and my satnav has gone awol. No satellite and "unable to calculate route". Using Google maps on my phone which has worked well, but the small screen is problematic. Previous posts have mentioned using a tablet to duplicate the phones display but on a bigger screen.
The local FNAC has Lenova M9 in stock. Can this just be plugged in in the van and then be used as a satnav?

I think all of the M9 models have a built in GPS but how good/accurate it is when it is inside the cab I don't know, hopefully someone on here may have/use one already so may be able to give you a better idea.
