Hi All
Hope someone can help with this.

I’ve had a Garmin Camper770 for a couple of years. Have really only used it as a SatNav but I know that it came with various pre installed apps. I think one was Camper Contact which I’d like to use but it seems to have disappeared! I only seem to have Trip Advisor left.

Any idea on how I get the missing apps back.
Thanks

Thanks I’ll give it a go!👍

That didn’t work I’ll have another go tomorrow thanks

I've been using mine for work every week for more than 4 years, I've just checked and all the apps you mention are there, it's set to update itself when it can (Which can be a PITA, but that's another story).

Based on the above, i.e. you've reset to factory, my next move would be install "Garmin Express" on your Computer (laptop/desktop), plug in your 770 via USB and update it that way.

I've got an image of my firmware versions that I'll add with my phone in a minute, you can check them against yours by selecting Settings, Device, About.

If I can be of further assistance please let me know.

Cheers

Glad to see RedFrame has this one in hand, nice one Red(y)
My Garmin 770 is the Caravan Club Avtex/Garmin version, I update via Garmin Express on my laptop at night as it can take hours to download, and problems can arise if it doesn't download properly as we are duly warned when we plug it in.
Like on another Garmin Thread, my 770 has very low volume, I dont want to connect it to my head unit in the van as it may cause issues with other connected devices like my I Phone playing deezer for example.
Hope the OP gets it sorted.

Thanks for the responses much appreciated.

Carried out the steps mentioned above but to no avail

I think (and I've ordered) and SD card to give me more storage as its showing 87% full.

Must abmit I'm not good with this stuff!

Never really used the APPS much but I think they could be useful so would like to get them back if possible.

Just checked and the apps are showing as they are with yours?? Weird?

Hi AG 2602
Yes, I had to place a new SD card in the side of The Garmen 770, as I got a message telling me that there was insufficient storage to update the UK, plus all of Europe maps. I selected just update UK maps which it did successfully, before buying the new SD card.
I then installed the SD card, went back into The Garmen Express update, let it discover what it needed, the clicked OK when prompted.
The Download must of been a big one as it took ages to do.
Let us know how you get on with the new SD card installed, and reconnected to the Garmen Express update on your PC.
You might have to give Garmen help a call, but do the SD card install 1st, as that eliminates the lack of storage problem.
Good Luck.

Hold on a minute..

I've just had a look at mine and the "Apps" you talk about are not in the Apps menu!

If you select "Where To" then you should have MHF, ACSI and Campercontact on the top row...?
