Hi, my speedo stopped working and the red engine light came on. It turns out fuse 11 is blowing, it takes about 3 or 4 expounds to blow when the ignition is switched on so it's not a dead short. Everything else works OK and the engine performs fine.
Can anyone offer any help?
Incidentally, thanks to the posts about changing the front crossmember, I did mine today, a doodle.

A bit more info needed for me.

What model Ducato? or what else does fuse 11 protect?

If it's an X250 the handbook isn't too explicit in it's description as it says "Electric System - Secondary Services" and doesn't even say if it's battery or keyed.
If it's an X290 it's even worse as the handbook doesn't even list it albeit it seems to be present!

Hi all, thanks for the various advice. I went on the Fiat forum as suggested and someone there had the answer. It turned out to be a short circuit on the oil vapour or oil blow-by heater situated in the breather pipe between the cylinder head cover and the air intake. Fuse 11, it turns out, feeds lots of unrelated things.
My local fiat parts department could only find this part listed as a variant for Northern Europe where it gets very cold. Fiat don't even sell the part in the UK. Maybe it's a motorhome fitting because some owners do go to very cold places. The party number is 1343666080, if you Google it, you'll get a European supplier.
I'm not going anywhere cold so I'll either just leave it unplugged or replace it with a plain piece of tube.
Thanks for the help.
