Front Dash Cam

I have to replace my dash cam. I see nextbase is popular on “fun”.
I know they can be hard wired but does anyone know if a NextBase 522 can be wired to continuously record when parked up?
By that I mean recording all the time rather than just when an “ event” occurs.
I know they have a battery protection setting, about 11.8v I believe, so I would like continuous recording.

If you wired it into your hab battery that would give a permanent supply rather than the engine battery which probably requires the ignition on

From memory the 522 can come with optional hardwire (I have one that will come in handy one day)
I would go for fitted to auxiliary batts
5min max frame run can be left recording but will loop eventually
Max 64gb sd card I believe
Phone app I found glitchy and sometimes unresponsive.
But good quality footage.

522 would need permanent power supply to stay on record , you can use upto 128gb card , you can also extend non loop recording time by selecting resolution variables ,they can have high and low for both front and rear or you can reduce to just one front and one rear . best to use nextbase sd card. HTSH

Remember to tell your insurer if hardwired - it's a modification and if you don't tell them it "could" be used as an excuse to deny any accident claim you might need to make
