Hi
Anybody wanting to purchase a frequent traveller with Euro Tunnel will be greeted with this message
Screenshot_20200703-141412.png

I have contacted them by phone and they have confirmed the above

Sounds like a good way for Eurotunnel to recoupe some of the losses they have incurred. Also gives them an opportunity to raise standard ticket prices for the peak summer period. Driven by accountants and shareholders I would guess !!!

They have only just managed to make a 'profit' a few months back after, yet again, working the share scam . Main reason why there are so many breakdowns as income barely meets repayments.

Just checking, they are saying if you already have a Frequent Traveller account with unused crossing you're OK?

But they are not opening/selling any new Frequent Traveller accounts?

I could not login to my account last night so I looked back at the email and it says that the extended tickets cannot be bought online so I assume that that’s why account disabled.

As the way Frequent Traveller tickets are purchased has changed after you bought your account last year, we are putting this extension of validity in place automatically in the next few weeks, but it does mean you will need to call us, rather than going online, when you want to use the legs that are left on your account. Please use 03457 35 35 35 (a local rate number) when ringing us.

Hmmm wondering if top ups are allowed
@Marty Gilly and Pup don’t think you can buy top-ups either at the moment.
You can, (just been in and had a look), but it's a minimum of ten tickets. :( If it was for four or six, I might have done, as our account doesn't expire until Dec 2121.

Cheers,

Jock. :)

Money making / claw back money is the only reason. Too late for us to buy I’m afraid.

Unfortunately it’s happening on the trains as well........we priced a journey prior to lock down..£54. Same journey now is £108!

I’m going to try this as ours was extended to August 21, but only one ticket left. Who knows when “summer” will end!!

No it doesn't, it expires Dec 2021................... but by the time I spotted my mistake, I was too late to edit my post. Anyway, I'm not sure I'll want to carry on doing the Frequent Traveller thing, in 2121.

Cheers,

Jock. :)
