Not quite a MOTORHOME question directly.

Thinking of going south in late February next year, what do others do to avoid frozen pipes and burst pipes or flooding whilst away. With the cost of gas now don’t want to leave it on all the time.

What about power cuts? Am i over worrying

I'd either drain the system or leave the heating on a low temperature on the thermostat. The other option is to drain the whole system and hope it refills without air pockets and hope it doesn't freeze between the water main and stopcock.

Leave ours set to 12°. Have a Nest theromstate so I can monitor the house temperature and turn the heating up a day or two before we come home.

Also need to check your insurance policy some require it to be set to 15° & some even want it drained down.
