We have a small fridge freezer, the freezer compartment is really just an icebox with a drop down door. We can make it all fridge space. If I want a plug in freezer - plug point in the garage - can anyone recommend one? Doesn't need to be too big. Many thanks.

Pretty much any compressor coolbox will do. Just check its minimum temperature goes down low enough. They're still silly money, though. They should cost about £100 as they can make a massively larger mains compressor freezer for that money, but most manufacturers just see the leisure market as rich types with no concern for price, ripe for plucking, and charge up to £700 for no apparent reason.

We used the mobicool FR40
New version is MCF40 €299

Goes down to -10°c. Bear in mind it runs a lot in warm climates when used as a freezer.

This 👇was the best retailer before Brexit, don't know about now.

We have one of these, got it off Amazon. They can be used as a fridge or freezer down to minus 15 c. They come in different sizes, chose this because it fits nicely under my bed in our PVC: Dometic CoolFreeze CDF 36 Portable Compressor Cooler and Freezer, 31 Litre 12/24 V.

Be aware on Amazon that the prices vary wildly, I can't recall what we paid for ours but at one point it went up by about £100 before dropping back down again. Good, if expensive kit.

Dometic cdx35 run down to -22c even when +25 c last summer in France. But needs good batteries if not on hook up/solar
