My humax freesat box is playing up. The replacement seems to be a new freesat box which looks o.k. But does anybody know if it can be used on 12 volt like the humax.
I’ve phoned them but no joy and mailed them ,no reply
Hopefully one of you know

If there is a transformer in the supply lead the information you need is on that. I found it much easier to use a small inverter.

We found that our Humax box worked on 12 v but insisted that there were no recordings in the memory which why we took it with us. We now have a smaller box called a Manhatan that works well but does not record.

I have a 600 watt inverter but thought it was a bit overkill

Unplug the Humax totally, leave it for a while then replug and restart. If that doesn't work, do it again but do a factory reset. What do you have to lose?

We have the Arris Freesat 1TB box at home (successor to Humax), appears to be 12v from back of box…
