Be aware if you are looking at travel in France on this day

I can't get any sound but is this about a planned protest across France? We will just sit it out as we normally do at weekends.

Well I've searched the French press for details of this and can only find one mention of the 22nd June.

That is a call from the unions at General Electric at Belfort to join a protest on that date in Belfort centre to highlight job losses.

The only other piece found is on Mumsnet. Not a site I'd bother to check.

As we have a Plus Beaux Villages evening soirée, as do many other villages in France, on that date I think the organisers might have mentioned it to warn us all.

Please dont panic too much , as it unlikely to be an apocalypse , just a be aware that might have some possible substance and effects, Ferry ? There is a virtual GJ action blackout by MSM in UK , might be more coverage in the Charente ?

Just follow DBK 's advice, sit it out for the weekend, who wants to travel on a Saturday anyway, Sundays are the best days in France to travel, much less traffic. chaser you may well be right, doesn't look like your "standard loony", but then, what's standard for a loony ... look at all the politicians ... especially in the UK
